we got these pesky skateboarders who illegally race down Broadway every year... You know what would totally stop them? Bright orange banners! No way they could possibly get passed those by changing lanes... And it won't bring the car traffic to a screeching halt, either. Foolproof!

Now all we need is a fitting theme music...

Just block traffic so cars don't try to go through, then string a cable across at about 3 feet off the ground. Tie ribbons to it or paint it orange or whatever, but completely block the street. Then arrest all of them that stop or crash into it. Just park two of the big police vans there and start loading them up with idiots.

This is just idiotic. These people aren't even on motorcycles or scooters, now you are just being embarrassed by skateboards.

Seriously. Even better put a cable a couple inches off the ground so cars can run over it but it would still hit skateboards and knock the rider off.

Let them try to jump it. Most skateboarders will screw up trying to jump a cable more than a foot off the ground, and most won't fit under a cable at just about waist high. A few will make it through, but most will have to slow down to be arrested or crash and be arrested.

All you need to do is arrest a bunch, the rest will scatter.
